Christian Masucci Facchini is an accomplished vocalist, pianist, and educator with 20 years of teaching experience. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts in Voice Performance from York University, an Artist Diploma in Opera from The Royal Conservatory of Music, and a Master of Music in Historical Performance from the University of Toronto. Specializing in Baroque and contemporary vocal repertoire, Christian is passionate about bringing music to life through expressive storytelling, emotional honesty, and historically informed performance.
Christian takes a supportive and individualized approach, helping students develop healthy vocal and piano technique, musical confidence, curiosity, and an authentic artistic voice. He adapts each lesson to the student’s goals, learning style, and technical needs, creating an environment where they feel both encouraged and appropriately challenged. His goal is for students to build
strong musical skills while discovering the joy of performing and expressing themselves with honesty and confidence.
A Metropolitan Opera Encouragement Award recipient, Christian also earned third place in the Toronto City Opera Macina Competition and was a semifinalist in both the Royal Opera House’s Jette Parker Young Artists Programme Competition and the Oratorio Society of New York Competition. A former Rebanks Family Fellow at The Royal Conservatory of Music, he has performed repertoire ranging from Handel’s Rinaldo to contemporary opera and has appeared with leading ensembles including Opera Atelier and Tafelmusik. In addition to voice and piano, Christian studied violin from the age of three through Grade 12.
