Double Bass lessons are available with the teachers listed below and are open to students ages 12 and up. Instruction is tailored to each individual, using a curriculum that best supports the student’s goals and musical interests. We also offer audition preparation for specialized programs, including Etobicoke School of the Arts, Father John Redmond’s Regional Arts Program, Humber College, and university music programs.
Students must have access to their own double bass for practice at home. Because transporting the instrument can be challenging, a double bass is available for students to use during lessons at KSM and they just need to bring their bow.

A method book will also be required. We recommend waiting until after the first lesson so the teacher can assess the student’s needs and recommend the most appropriate book.

Students can begin with a trial lesson. If it feels like the right fit, they can continue by enrolling in our yearly program.
