Trumpet
Erik Dubeau is a trumpet player and educator with a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto and an Artist Diploma from The Royal Conservatory of Music’s Glenn Gould School. He has more than 12 years of private trumpet study and four years of teaching experience. As a performer, Erik has been selected for the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, and his chamber
ensemble won first prize at the North American Brass Band Association Championships Chamber Music Competition.
Erik believes music should be both meaningful and enjoyable. His lessons focus on developing a beautiful, confident sound as the foundation of healthy brass technique, while encouraging music as a source of expression. He carefully observes what motivates each student, adapting his guidance and level of challenge to support steady progress. His goal is for students to leave
lessons with stronger skills, growing confidence, and a lasting appreciation for music.
