Cello
Mariana Pit Torres is a cellist and educator with 14 years of playing experience and five years of teaching. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Music at the University of Toronto, alongside a certificate in musicians’ health. Mariana believes that everyone can learn music and creates individualized lessons that balance technique, tone, repertoire, music reading, and theory with each student’s goals and learning style.

Her teaching places particular emphasis on posture, physical awareness, healthy practice habits, and strategies for managing tension and performance anxiety. With younger students, she also incorporates elements of the Suzuki method to strengthen listening skills and musical engagement. Mariana’s goal is to create an encouraging environment where students can build confidence, enjoy their progress, and develop a healthy and lasting relationship with music.
